Registration for International Nanotribology Forum, Goa, 8th - 12th January, 2018

Location of Meeting

The meeting will take place in the Dona Sylvia Beach Resort, located in Cavelossim in the western Indian state of Goa. The meeting location is conveniently reached either from a nearby railway station or from Goa's International Airport, Dabolim (GOI)—a 45-minute drive away—which is served by many national and international flights and will be linked to the resort via a shuttle bus service. January is an excellent month for visiting Goa, and falls in the middle of the dry season. Average temperatures range from 23-27°C (72-81°F), with an average of 10.5 hours of sunshine per day.

 

Registration Fee

(before 15 November 2017): US $500 ($300 for Students)

(after 15 November 2017): US $600 ($350 for Students)

Registration includes attendance at all sessions, pickup from airport, coffee breaks, lunches, as well as the social events including welcome reception, conference banquet, and an outing. You must register to attend the conference. Registration takes effect once payment is received.

Abstracts need to be received by 1st November 2017. Please send them to goa@nanotribology.org, as single-page Word documents (free format, but include title, authors, affiliations, and underline speaker name).

Accommodation
NOTE THAT ACCOMMODATION IN THE DONA SYLVIA RESORT IS NOW FULL: SEE BELOW FOR ALTERNATIVES

Accommodation is principally in the Dona Sylvia Beach Resort. While we encourage the spirit of community that is engendered by having as many participants onsite as possible, there are a number of cheaper offsite options. If you are electing to stay offsite, in which case you will be responsible for booking your rooms directly with the hotel, please download the offsite hotel list here.

Room prices in Dona Sylvia (conference rate in US$, including breakfast):

$225/night/person single, $125/night/person double/twin room, $110/night/person triple room, payable together with registration fee.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available for students and young researchers. These cover registration, accommodation, and travel assistance. Please apply, before 1 October 2017 via email to goa@nanotribology.org providing contact details, your CV, and an abstract of the participant's work related to the conference.
